On her Chinese fans
I love you guys for supporting me. It’s just so heart-warming to know that people on the other side of the globe resonate with your music and love it just as much as you do. I know that I’ve been quite focused on the US and UK lately, but I promise to make it up to you guys. I have a little schedule here and I’ll post it later my twitter. Check it out and come see me when you can my loves!

On Disco Fling & Can’t Read You
Disco Fling was a rather late decision for a lead single. I had loads of other songs prepared for that position beforehand. They just weren’t the one though. So I really put my head down with my writers and producers, and we made this happy accident. I’m so happy about it. I think it’s really fun, playful but also has my element of truth. Sure it’s not Shakespearean scripture by any means, but I wrote it about an experience all too familiar to me. It looks like people resonated with it too! Can’t Read You is more vulnerable. I guess all songs about relationships are. I wrote it about the lack of communication between me and my partner. It’s on the album, but it’s not a single. I just wanted my fans to get to know me better.

On Encore
Encore is the topic of the conversation lately isn’t it? (laughs) Rightfully so though. It’s the future of music. I know that as an industry, there is a huge worry about the collapse of sales. But I think it’s nonsense. Music formats have been progressing all the time, it’s nothing new! Personally, I think streaming helps music reach more people. Even from a commercial point of view, there was a time that if there wasn’t demand for your music somewhere, it just wasn’t released there. Now, our music is at everyone’s fingertips through an app. It’s insanely cool!

On her Twitter
Twitter is my own little corner. It’s nice to have a place to see how your fans are. I also love to tease them with new music. I’ve uploaded a good few snippets and it always has fans on edge! The only downside is, everybody gets so brave on the internet (laugh) I know that for some, the appeal of anonymity is quite empowering, especially if you have troubles with communication in real life. But unfortunately, it also empowers trolls to keep, well, trolling. Reading mean twitter comments can be quite hurtful. But at the end of the day, you just have to remember that the person isn’t worth your time. Heck, you’ll forget about them soon.

On future projects.
Well, obviously my album is my main focus. I need to strategize a good campaign for it to get a juicy era that my fans deserve. I’m already in talks with my label, and we’re cooking something up. I’m planning to do a few things here and there while I’m in Asia. I only have a few days, but I’ll make the most of it. I’m also gonna hang out with a well known South Korean artist! That’s all I can spill for now!
